2015 NSF Research Experience for Undergraduate (REU)

Undergraduate students interested in research are encouraged to apply to the 2015 NSF Research Experience for Undergraduate (REU) program in the Department of Ocean, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences (OEAS) at Old Dominion University (ODU)

Please invite your undergraduate students interested in research to apply to the 2015 NSF Research Experience for Undergraduate (REU) at Old Dominion University (ODU) in the Department of Ocean, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences (OEAS) at https://www.odu.edu/oeas/reu

Students will be conducting research centered around climate change and sea level rise in a coastal, urban environment.  ODU is situated in Norfolk, Virginia, at the intersection of the Elizabeth, Lafayette, and James River and the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay, and is a great environment to study these timely and relevant issues.

Selected students (rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors) will be able to work one-on-one with mentors who are experts in their field, in an intensive 10-week research program.  They will receive a stipend, dorm accommodations, food allowances, and travel expenses.

Please feel free to distribute the attached flyer and check out our web site where students can apply on line:   https://www.odu.edu/oeas/reu

Applications are due Feb. 15, 2015, if you have any questions, please send emails to OEAS_REU@odu.edu
