Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Atmospheric Science

The Department of Geography and Atmospheric Science at the University of Kansas (KU) seeks outstanding applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Atmospheric Science with a research specialty in climate science. This position is expected to begin as early as August 18, 2018.

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science or a related field by the start date of the appointment. A strong record of research and demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching are required. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an externally funded research program that complements and expands the existing research strengths of the department. Candidates with expertise in the analysis of large climatic datasets, climate dynamics, or climate modeling are encouraged to apply. Teaching expectations include undergraduate and graduate courses in atmospheric science, and possibly other courses cross-listed with atmospheric science.
