Conditions of Employment

  • All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
  • A security clearance may be required. Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information.
  • PCS expenses if authorized will be paid IAW JTR and Air Force Regulations

  • Knowledge of procedures and techniques as applied to resource management, cost estimation, and preparation of statements of work is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of mission objectives, meteorology related mission requirements, and potential impacts of meteorology on mission accomplishment is desired.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Mastery of concepts and principles in the field of atmospheric science. Knowledge must be both broad and in depth. Knowledge of meteorological modeling practices and procedures as it relates to current or projected organizational requirements and how these policies and procedures apply to current mesoscale models; in particular, the Weather Research and Forecast model (WRF) and its relationship to future operations.
