SOARS Protégé, Daniel Pollak, to present research at AGU Conference
Daniel Pollak, SOARS Protégé and Penn State Meteorology junior, will be giving a lecture at the American Geophysical Union Fall Meeting in San Francisco on Monday, December 14th, 2009. His presentation titled, "Flash Floods: A Spatial and Temporal Analysis- A Case Study of the March 2008 Flash Floods in Southwestern Missouri," is based on research he conducted this summer at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR/UCAR) through the SOARS Internship program. This research project is part of a new initative at NCAR to bridge social and geo-science data with GIS.
